Traditional website design involves a significant amount of repetitive production work. Every new project requires context gathering, file setup, visual foundations, components, responsive patterns, content population, and page production.
The challenge was to create a faster process without sacrificing strategy, consistency, scalability, or the quality of the final design.
solution
I developed a workflow that connects Claude directly with Figma and gives it access to the complete context behind a project; including strategy, content, imagery, copy documents, brand direction, sitemap requirements, and project constraints. When those foundations don’t already exist, I use custom skills and strategy prompts to establish them before moving into design.
Every project begins with a structured design system. By creating the visual foundations, reusable components, responsive rules, and page patterns first, I can use Claude to accelerate production while maintaining control over strategy, creative direction, UX, and final quality.
Renal Week became a practical demonstration of this process: a complete conference website system and 15 high-fidelity desktop and mobile screens, delivered within 3 working days.
I started by giving Claude a dedicated project environment containing the available strategy, content, imagery, copy, references, and website requirements. From there, I established the information architecture, brand foundations, typography, colour system, responsive rules, and reusable component library before producing individual pages.
the approach
The system included desktop and mobile navigation, buttons, hover states, badges, dropdown menus, program cards, speaker cards, pricing cards, calls to action, footer components, typography styles, brand colours, utility colours, background styles, and gradients. Once these foundations were established, Claude could assist with page structure and repetitive production while I directed the experience, refined the visual hierarchy, and reviewed every screen for consistency and client readiness.
the outcome
Within four part-time working days, I delivered a complete sitemap, scalable design system, reusable component library, and 15 copy-ready, high-fidelity desktop and mobile screens for Renal Week.
A scope of this size would typically require multiple weeks of focused design work. The process reduced production overhead, increased delivery capacity, and created stronger project margins without compromising the quality or scalability of the final result.
